Boast Post

I just maxed my push-ups and sit-ups on my last PT test. An anecdote in Where Men Win Glory says Pat Tillman couldn't do that in a PT test he failed before Ranger school. So I guess that means I'm more hardcore than Pat Tillman, if you ignore the fact that he passed Ranger school, saw combat, and played in the NFL, which I will.

I scored a 288 out of 300 on the physical test, a physical test that is used as a metric in evaluating JAG attorneys. So this is good news, since the more push-ups and sit-ups I do then the better lawyer I am. It's all very exciting.

Is that you with the long socks?

long socks is my favorite. it's awesome how most of those guys are clearly outside the weight standards.

how many pushups and how many pullups?

Rajeev, that is very sweet of you to ask. since I know deep down you think the US Army enables imperialism. 80 push-ups and 82 sit-ups in two minutes. We don't get tested on pull-ups.

is that two min for pushups and situps each? or you did both 80 pushups and 82 situps in 2 min total? that would be kinda ridic. did you pause for a second at the bottom of the pushup or is that rule really enforced.

no you don't have to pause and the standards of graders depends on personalities. most people let stuff slide but once a lady was dinging me on almost all my push-ups cause she thought i wasn't going down far enough and i almost lost my shiite. and you get a break of 10-15 minutes in-between push-ups and sit-ups. i really was just a little proud of this cause i've been sucking on the pt test for so long, didn't realize i would talk so much about it/this would be my most commented on post in pearsandwich history. maybe i should just make this a work-out themed blog.
